Joseph who lived in Providence for over 40 years, passed away at Roger Williams Hospital on January 16, 2021 after a short illness. Joseph was born in Ghana, West Africa to Emmanuel and Beatrice Asare both deceased. Joseph was a retired social worker and an avid reader, and was deeply devoted to his family. He is survived by his loving wife Dinah Larbi Ampofo for almost 28 years with whom he enjoyed traveling. Joe leaves behind children Ben Ampofo, Beatrice Owusu, Freda Adubofour, David Asiamah aka Kobby and Monique Ampofo. He is also survived by five grandchildren. Joe leaves behind his sisters, Naana Akowuah of Ghana and Akosua Sarpong of Canada. He is also survived by his brothers, George Asiamah of Ghana, Kwame Asare of Virginia and Yaw Yeboah Asare of Texas. He leaves behind cousins, nieces and friends he touched along his journey. Private Viewing will at the Keefe Funeral Home on Saturday, January 30 from 10:00am to 11:00am. Private Burial will follow immediately at Swan Point Cemetery.
